LETTER: Country is 'progressing' to a political monopoly

What is disturbing to me about Barack Obama isn’t the color of his skin (I am not a racist) but the color of his politics that tends toward the “Red” end of the spectrum (I am also not a Marxist.)

Progressive liberals have for decades been engaged in the decomposition of American culture that “progressively” teaches school-children at a younger and younger age to believe in a “demythologized” American history by “demonizing” the founding spirit that was in fact deliberately informed by the Judeo-Christian worldview.

Americans have historically rejected socialistic collectivism of the various Marxist models. but in the modern, inclusive global village, the responsible independent spirit must be exorcised if equal economic outcomes are to be realized.

This can only happen when a government is no longer representative of the people but assumes the role of a political monopoly, as Communism does, in order to make the “ugly American” more attractive (less competitive) to the rest of the world by forcing the equalizing agenda of Democratic Socialism (the euphemistic oxymoron for “Marxism”).

The “Progressives” (euphemism for “Marxists”), having dumbed-down educational standards (can you spell “Teach-To-The-Test”?) to equalize mediocrity (and more easily qualify for federal grant money), so that no one is more successful than anyone else, now want access to all preschool-children in order to give these little ones a “head start” to program their collective unconscious as entitled citizens of Politically Inclusive Government Stimulus (PIGS) programs.

Their non-critical acquiescence of “pork” projects will thus be praised as “patriotic” much as the party leaders of the former Soviet Union praised the “equally” miserable Soviet citizens for their patriotic sacrifices to the gods of the Marxist State — the Politburo elite.

We will have “progressed” beyond the need to rely on a “mythological” god, much less an anachronistic founding Constitution, when the Messiah sits on the One-World-Government throne — for which the American presidency has evidently become a dress rehearsal — unless we take back our children, our government, and our culture.

They are relying on us to keep in fighting while they run away with our sovereignty and give it to the UN for handling. I apprciate your worry about Obama's drive for what seems like socialism but you've got to remember that it was Bush that wanted and authorized the first bank bail out. "

" But if God is God, as most of us in America believe He is and as our founding fathers believed then He is fully aware and in control of the program you have just described. He has informed us beforehand of this scenario and that is a testimony to the truth of Gods Holy Bible and the truth is continuously being revealed through the fulfillment of its prophecies that are currently progressing at an escalating rate. The secular progressives are falling right into the overall plan of false messiahs as revealed by God. When the Messiah Jesus sits on the One-World-Government throne it will be according to Gods plan and He will rule the nations with a rod of iron. There is no righteousness or justice in Marxism and the world is a witness of that, but of the throne of Jesus Christ God says, Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; Mercy and truth go before Your face. " I love the part about testing school children. Here's the facts as I know them. Bush's "No Child Left Behind" should have been named "No Large Testing Corporation Left Behind" because most of the money went to his brother's large testing corporation, not educating children. What makes it even funnier is that public schools in every state were already testing (have been for years), but the legislation forced schools across the nation to dump their tests and use the ones his brother's firm created instead of the ones they were using. What makes it even funnier is that Bush did the same thing for his brother's company while governor of Texas. Funnier still is that after half of the Texas school children failed the test, it was "dumbed down" so Bush could later claim that "test scores had improved significantlY" while he was in charge.

Bush's presidency exhibited all the signs of Fascism, including the most important requirement of letting corporations run the government for their own welfare at the expense of the people and the Good of the Whole. When government is run for the welfare of the few at the expense of the many, most people suffer. "

Until we get it through our heads that BOTH parties are corrupted and BOTH parties have lead this nation to where we are now nothing will ever change. I honestly feel that most of the GOP really aren't as strong a Christian as they claim to be or they wouldn't be selling us all down the river for lobbyist/corporate greed. I feel that they talk a good game and try to keep the Christian right all hyped up on things that they could care less about like abortion and they have no intentions of doing anything about it. If they wanted abortions banned again, they would have done it when they had control of the legislature and White House. If they did ban it, they couldn't whip everybody up in a frenzy to proove what good Christians they are to get you all to vote for them on just that one issue alone. You are being duped just like many on the left are being duped on many other issues like public option insurance. It's time we quit our in fighting between us, quit blaming each other for DC's actions and start pointing our fingers directly at them and blame the true culprits. Not each other. "

" Good post Becky again I agree with almost everything. I am wondering about the GOPs calling Obama messiah though. I have referred to him as the messiah or your messiah but my intent was as a way of scorning those who do seem to think that he is. I certainly do not think he is messiah and if there is any Republican that does I would really like to know who it is. I think what you have heard from GOPs is it being used in the same context that I have because there are those on the left that think he is the savior of the world. Those left leaning radicals would not use the word messiah but that is how they view him. I agree some Republicans have tried to use Christianity as a means of gaining votes. Some Republicans I believe are Christians and some are not. A lot of people do not understand that just saying you are a Christian does not make you one. And also critics of Christianity often try to paint someone evil as a Christian just to throw a bad light on Christianity. Is it any worse to use Christianity to appeal to the Christian base than it is for those who hate Christianity to use that hate to gain votes? Supporting the advancement of homosexuals and abortion is hating Christianity. Supporting the Hate Bill was a vote against Christianity because we all know that the Hate Crimes Bill is aimed at Christians who speak out with what the Christian Bible says about homosexuals and abortion. Anyone running on the platform of what a good Christian he is probably is not really a Christian. There seems to be a viewpoint by the left radicals especially in the mainstream media that any politician that declares any Christian values is automatically unfit and disqualified and that is unacceptable for our nation that was founded upon Christian principles by founders who were predominately Christians.

Question for you Becky: who are the true culprits you mentioned we should point our fingers at? "

I believe in his honor, his courage, his determination, his intellect and his wisdom to pull this country out of the slop that Bush left behind (they should've named that law, "No President Left Behind" and Bush wouldn't have met AYP!).

As for the founding father's christianity, I'm SURE you must be referring to the greatly revered Thomas Jefferson? He evidently is rolling over in his grave a lot lately according to the Faux No-News sources. Well, perhaps someone should inform y'all that Jefferson thought he was so uppity he could re-write the New Testament to suit his own purpose? None of this divinity crap - or raising from the dead...or virgin birth, etc. He took all of that out. Certified wacko, and he's just one of our founding fathers! He called his book,"Life and Morals". Kinda reminds me of Republicans - taking accurate testimony and twisting it in a way that suits them and claiming it to be gospel! "

Jon and Becky- the use of the Messiah label for Obama has come up on this site several times.

It happens almost always the same way.

An Uber-Liberal challenges a conservative poster with the made up by the GOP variant, usually to slip a good thread from a topic or point with misdirection to something meaningless.

Using the term is a good political point since so many of his supporters have shown such adoration towards this man from the very beginning of his reign.

Here is a simple list of just a few of the lefts implication of Obama being their messiah (from a previous post):

We need a turn over! I hope and pray to get it in the 2010 elections, there certainly is plenty of incentive for a turn over on both sides of the isle. This president needs to receive a message if he can come down off his pedestal long enough to even see it, Or stay home long enough to see it. He needs to understand he was not elected by Americans to be president of the world and he needs to quit bowing to whom he conceives as royalty especially to a nation that sneak attacked us and that we gave back their sovereignty. Have you seen the pictures of Nixon bowing to the Japanese emperor (who was at the helm when Pearl Harbor was attacked)? Upon the commencement of Sheikh Mohammed's trial, any of America's enemies, whether dressed as civilian dressed terrorists or a CIVILIAN DRESSED FOREIGN NATIONAL SOLDIERS, will have the 'right' to do as much damage as possible to our military or our civilian society, then thrown down their arms in front of an American soldier and demand to be read their Miranda rights for trial in an American civilian court!

Just image if China, with an army of 200 million, decided to go to war with America on foreign soil and had all of their soldiers dresses as civilians.

We wouldn't have enough soldier-police officiers available to read the civilian dressed enemy soldiers their rights, let alone have enough courts to try these civilian dressed soldiers in!

Our civilian court system, already overloaded for civil and criminal litigations, would shutdown. Our enemies would win by default.

M Obama is smart enough to realize that the world has changed and that either the US becomes proactive and changes with or ahead of it or we will be left behind. China has become the dominant world power, not in military terms but in economic terms and by the sheer numbers of their population. Man made borders mean nothing to: pollution, disease, crime, fear, hate, poverty, religious and ethnic strife and all the problems they cause. There is NO going back to what many conservatives believe was a utopian time (there never was such a time only selective memories). Obama is just what this country needs right now if this nation wants to stay strong and viable in this next century. "

Madrid- Alan Solomont $500,000

This spoils system started in earnest in the 1960s and is a de facto, three-year-term rental of ambassadorships by non-qualified politically connected elites. Both parties do it.

Given the rise of terrorism and the serious need for a professional diplomatic corps, it is a shame that the administration who preached change, decided to continue this abdominal practice of ambassadorial patronage.

Guess it is really no surprise, after all Obama got his political training from the Daily machine in Chicago, home of- yous gives me duh money and yous get a city job.

To be fair before his Inauguration, he said, it would be disingenuous for me to suggest that there are not going to be some political appointments.

Three reasons, Jon.

1. Almost half the country didn't vote for Obama and Fox is the only "news" organization that beats the anti-Obama drum 24/7.

2. With the rise of Sarah Palin the dumbing down of American politics continues, and Fox just loves Palin.

3. Using all those good looking young female commentators in short skirts and leather boots appeals to a lot of people. Yes Jon, Fox uses sex to sell it's product.

Roger Ailes is a piece of human garbage, but he knows how to sell a product. "

Jon Vanatta wrote on Nov 29, 2009 1:32 PM:

Im not Mr. Hendren but It would please me and a lot of others Im sure if Obama would release his birth certificate and clear up the question of why he received financial aid at Occidental College as a foreign student from Indonesia. He also could explain why he is justified in spending a million dollars in campaign donations to block disclosure of any of his personal records. He could also explain how he financed his Columbia and Harvard educations that is if he in fact even went to Columbia. He could also release where all his campaign funds came from, as he is required by law to.

Actually it would please me if Obama would just provide proof that he qualifies to be president of the USA and then a whole bunch of senators and electorates could try to explain why they never qualified him before electing him and inaugurating him.

After those things are satisfied then perhaps Harry Potter would start watching Fox News for some other reason than the only thing he seems to be able to think about namely the short skirts and cleavages. "

--------------------------

Jon, unlike you I have no desire to know about Obama's educational funding (it's none of my business) or the inane claim you keep bring up about his birth certificate. How's Orly's lawsuits going on that? The last I heard she was given a huge fine for filing frivolous lawsuits. As far as the birth certificate go, he seems to have satisfied the election commission. If you recall they even certified McCain even though he was born on foreign soil. He was born in Panama on leased property. They said all children born to Americans on foreign military bases as considered American born. It that was good enough for them, it's good enough for me. You do know that the Republican governor of Hawaii has said his birth certificate is legitimate, don't you? Perhaps Obama feels the same way about his private life that George Bush did about his drug use history. Remeber Bush refused to talk about that. Were you equally offended by that?

After reading your comments referring to Obamas mother as his "mammy", your motivation for nit picking him is rather obvious. A lot of people your age aren't comfortable having a black president. Fortunate most young people don't feel the way you do, and hopefully we will have a color blind society someday.

As for Fox news, I watch them all the time as well as reading their on line news. They do some great scientific reports on line. I especially like reading their articles about how the earth was millions of years ago.

As I suspected it would, my short skirt and cleavage comments appeared to hit close to home with you. That's OK Jon, I completely understand, as I used to subscribe to Playboy magazine just for the articles. lol! "

Jon Vanatta wrote on Nov 30, 2009 1:10 PM:

" Hi Harry, thanks for one of your more civil posts. Just a couple of things in reply to it: you take undue offense at me using the name mammy. I often called my own mom mammy she wasnt offended by it. I didnt use it as a racial slur. I have no problem with having a black president, what I have a problem with is that many people voted for him simply for the reason that he is black. Just being black is not a reason to vote for someone.

The governor of Hawaii never said the birth certificate certified a Natural citizen birth, she only said she had seen it and then she sealed it so no one could have access to it. So why do they say it has been posted on the Internet when it has been sealed so no one can see it?
Only Obama can release it, so why is he hiding it? Or a Federal Court order could release it and I think that may happen soon. Personally, I hope he has a legitimate certificate proving that he is a natural born citizen. Yes, McCain was thoroughly investigated; why wasnt Obama? You know I wonder if there is not something else Obama doesnt want the public to know other than his birthplace that is more the overriding reason for his refusal to be transparent.

I agree that many people my age aren't comfortable having a black president, but it is not his being black that I am uncomfortable with about him. It seems to be more of a racial issue with you than it is with me.

Oh and Harry, would you give me a link to some of those articles by Fox News about the earth being millions of years old I like to read those things. We all know that most of our society today has been brainwashed into the old earth theory especially among the higher educated folks, so is there any reason people at Fox News would be any different? There are many people even among Christians who will not face the truth that the observable evidence provides. Most of these people are just like you when being pressed for why they accept evolution and old age earth theory; they cant provide a reason. "

Give me a break. Although it must by working you sure are watching it a lot to notice something like that. I don't even watch it that much. They all have their attractive women for one reason. More men watch the news then women and they are all competing for our attention. Was it or was it not CBS who, when Katie Couric sat in for Letterman, cut the desk to show her legs.
