Treasure Hunters Roadshow headed to Charleston

CHARLESTON — The International Collectors Association will host the Treasure Hunters Roadshow Tuesday through Oct. 31 at 2 Flowers Restaurant in the Worthington Inn in Charleston.

The hours will be 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Oct. 30, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 31.

The Treasure Hunters Roadshow is on an 18-month national treasure hunt. During the free event the Treasure Hunters are expecting to see more than 1,200 residents who have rare and unusual collectibles to talk about with antique and collectible experts.

During the event, they are hoping to see items such as coins and paper currency issued prior to 1965, toys, dolls, trains, vintage jewelry, old and modern musical instruments, war memorabilia, swords, knives and daggers.

According to a news release, nearly all coins, vintage jewelry, musical instruments and toys made prior to 1965 are highly sought after by collectors.

Treasure Hunters make offers based on what their collectors are willing to pay. If someone decides to sell, they get paid on the spot and the Treasure Hunters will send the item to the collector at their expense.
