Eastern 25th in one poll, 27th in another
CHARLESTON -- Eastern Illinois remained ranked in one national poll and dropped from the other following the Panthers weekend loss at Penn State which was ranked No. 12 in the FBS.
The Panthers stayed at No. 25 in the FCS Coaches poll while falling to the second team also receiving votes in the Sports Network rankings.
Tennessee Tech, which is to visit EIU for a 1:30 p.m. Saturday Ohio Valley Conference game at O’Brien Field, is also among teams getting votes in the Sports Network poll.
Both teams are 2-1 in the OVC. EIU is 4-2 overall and Tech is 3-2.
