LETTER: Extreme acts needed to save our democracy

DON SEARLES, Mattoon

The United States is the most powerful military country in the world. No one can destroy us from without. However, we are being destroyed from within.

Our president and the left wing forces that control our Congress are systematically turning our country into a Socialist state. Their methods are legislation that steals our money by taxation and controls every aspect of our lives. Example: In the recent bankruptcies of Chrysler and GM, the Obama administration circumvented contract law by stealing money from the secured creditors. Lawsuits were filed by the secured creditors but the Supreme Court upheld the illegal actions by refusing to take the case.

They will shortly destroy our economy with out of control government spending, which will cause runaway inflation and make our money worthless.

The proposed Health Care plan is an example of power and control. This legislation, if passed will cost trillions and control doctors, and hospitals, as well as tell you when, where and what health care you can get. You will be devastated when some bureaucrat in Washington tells you that you must wait or cannot have an operation for a life threatening condition.

Cap and Trade, if passed, will raise taxes by billions, and further control or lives, as money is funneled to Wall Street bankers through trading fees.

The President and congress fail to enforce laws they swore to enforce as 10 million people are illegally in our country and hundreds more come each week. These illegals are costing us billions as we provide education, health care, prisons for the many criminals and other welfare services.

To oppose Socialism we must be aware of and strongly oppose repressive legislation. We must flood our legislators with calls, e-mails, letters and petitions stating our strong opposition to repressive legislation. We must band together like our Negro friends during the civil rights movement with non-violent direct action.

As long as we pay taxes and do not cause disturbances, the Socialists will continue to steal our money and destroy our freedoms. For starters, we must cut off their money by not paying taxes. We must cause non-violent disturbances with huge protest rallies all across the U.S. and in Washington. Evil succeeds when good people do nothing. These are extreme times and extreme measures are needed to save our Democracy.

I despise the concept of destroying our Constitutional Democratic Republic, but let us face the facts:

During the time from 9/11 onward, our Chief Executive was deficit spending with NO oversight, and with no budgetary constraints. Pure blank check spending. He instituted TARP just prior to stepping down, and bailed out all his Wall Street buddies who'd been lobbying reductions in government oversight. How did these investment banks get that big? Speculators driving up prices leads to HUGE profits, expanding these companies ever larger... do you really think that gasoline should ever have been at $5.00 per gallon?

No. Speculators on Wall Street did that to us. The ivory tower MBAs from Harvard and Yale did that to us.

Please do not confuse our REPUBLIC with a democracy. "

Don seems to be out of touch with the real world. Health care NOW is being dictated by CORPORATE BUREAUCRATS -- and the difference is that THEY PERSONALLY PROFIT for all the care that THEY deny: company profits go up, the stock price goes up on Wall Street, and the CEO smiles as his stock options increase in value.

An incident was related this week in which a young woman desperately fought her insurance company for a required liver transplant. FINALLY, after a long and bitter battle, the company agreed -- and she DIED 2 hours after finally notified she would get her surgery.

You have obviously been "taken in" by the insurance companies. The "government option" would work much like Medicare where I choose my own doctors, am covered for whatever they and I think need -- Not Once have I been turned down for service.

Someday you will learn. My daughter once had to have a rather simple surgery, but one without which she would have died in a few weeks, and Wonderful Health Insurance refused to pay. Someday you too may suffer terribly from BUREAUCRATS, NOT government bureaucrats (who have no personal gain from denying service) but
from a CORPORATE BUREAUCRAT who will
PROFIT from the expense/death of a member of YOUR family.

Hmmm Let's see now- Fannie Mae engaged in accounting fraud that was far worse than the corruption at Enron in order to inflate its managers' bonuses.

And uhm.....Fannie Mae is not just any private institution. It is congressionally chartered, meaning its existence is established in law, it does not have to pay state and local income taxes, and it is not subject to bankruptcy laws. It can borrow money at a lower rate than anyone else except the federal government itself.

And uhm....Fannie Mae passes its costs and risks on to the taxpayers, while relying on its supposedly "private" status to allow its managers to collect inflated pay that is the envy of many private sector companies.

And uhm.....It has been run by cronies of liberal politicians like Franklin Raines and liberal power broker Jim Johnson both of whom are Obama advisors.

Move along now folks......nothing to see here..... "

Let me tell you a little story.

New years Eve 1994, I worked at Skateland in Savoy, approx. 465 Roller Skaters that night. About 65% White, 35% Black, normal for Skateland, about 10 P.M. a fight broke between some gang bangers and got out of hand. The owner soon decided to cancel skating for the night, he told the skaters to come in next week for a refund, big mistake, he should have given out tickets, over the next 10 days, as the word was getting around Champaign-Urbana that Skateland was giving refunds, 1 (one) white person came in for a refund, over 1200 blacks also came in.

Another little story

A few months later, some Black Community Leaders (and I use that term very lightly) approached the owner about using the rink on an open night for the black community to come skating, they also requested that no white people be allowed, the owner said fine, next month I'm going to have an open skate and no black people will be allowed, that went over really well.

By the way, tell me you have NEVER used the N word while telling a joke.

Ever read the book N____r, by Dick Gregory. He says in one part of his book, A black man is walking down the street, he hears footsteps, he turns around and sees a white man and breathes a sigh of relief, he sees a black man and picks up his step.

Now, is my post here racist? Not at all, thought provoking? Absolutely, at least if you have an open mind. So tell me Bob, why do you get bent out of shape when anyone calls your race Black, African American (I always liked that one, especially since no one alive has had anything to do with Africa for almost 200 years), Colored, Negro etc... You call me white and it doesn't bother me any.

An Open Letter To White America

This is not a white country. It was not founded to be a white country, nor a Christian country. The founding fathers were a mix of Christians and non-Christians. Most notably, Washington, Jefferson, Madison, and Franklin were all well outside mainstream Christian thinking during their day. Jefferson went so far as the create his own version of the Bible in which he removed all of Jesus miracles. James Madison was quoted as saying, Religious bondage shackles and debilitates the mind and unfits it for every noble enterprise.

During almost fifteen centuries has the legal establishment of Christianity been on trial. What have been its fruits? More or less in all places, pride and indolence in the Clergy, ignorance and servility in the laity, in both, superstition, bigotry and persecution.

This country was established on the principles and values of the Enlightenment, which were most often at odds with the beliefs of Christianity during their time.

This is not now, nor has it ever been a Christian country. White culture is not synonymous with American culture, and the simple fact that you dont like to be called racists doesnt make your racism any less real. Seriously, a very sizeable chunk of the GOP base refuses to belief that our president was born in this country, despite a total lack of evidence to suggest otherwise versus a birth certificate, newspaper announcement, and the word of the current Governor of his state that he was in fact born there. Guess what? Thats racism at worst, blind, hateful partisanism at best. You have no reason to hold on to your lunatic ravings other than your pre-existing hatred for our current president.

As for the tea-bagger town hall protests, while the individual citizens showing up to drown out the basic necessity of reasoned discussion between Congressional leaders and their consituents how anti-Democratic can you get? do represent some segment of real Americans, so too do the overwhelming majorities of participants who are simply looking to be informed on the details of the health care plan, and the reasons their representatives are supporting it. Despite what some on the Right like to claim, shutting down townhall meetings is not in the least democratic, and in fact, is a tactic dating back to the earliest Communist uprisings in Russia. Just so you know the company youre in.

The only thing Im learning from all this is that this movement is hysterical, and wildly misinformed to the point of being unconcerned with the objective reality most of us reside in.

It's time to throw the bum's out. Career politicians are corrupt and soley motivation by special interst and getting re-elected. They have no concept of reality. Most of them have never ran a small business which is the back bone of our economy.
The very people that have control of how campaigns are financed control the election process thereby making the whole process a mockery. Yes, evil does succeed when good people do nothing. What true voice do we really have in the current system? Why are there no term limitations in the legislative branch? Why? Because they make the rules. Folks, we have the fox managing the chicken house. It is time we all stood up and demanded that our goverment operate as we must operate our daily lives, with responsibility!!!!!!!

I have read the document in question.

I thought I had read most of the information from posters on this subject on this and many other sites and frankly I have never seen a reference to this suicide thing being in the health care bill until your post.

I even did an advanced search of this site using several possible combinations and synonyms for your statment and the closest one to your statement was Quote-

I have many problems with the main bill that was passed by the house.

At the very least it does require mandatory counseling sessions with a government approved provider at least once per five years (or more often at the governments discretion), during which they will counsel individuals on their end of life options. SEIU Union Thugs Attack American At Carnahan Town Hall Meeting [Video]

Six people were arrested at a town hall meeting for Representative Russ Carnahan.

Kenneth Gladney, 38, said he was attacked by some of those arrested as he handed out yellow flags with "Don't tread on me" printed on them. Gladney, who is black said he was approached by a black member of the SEIU and called a racial slur before he was assaulted. As you can see in the video below Gladney was also assaulted again, by the white male seen in the picture to the right and thrown to the ground.

Also in the second video below you will see that members of ACORN or the SEIU are let into the doors while hundreds of protesters opposed to Carnahan's support of universal health care were barred from entering.

The Democrats have recently resorted to the tactic of trying to claim that all of those opposed to universal health care are being bussed in and are "astroturf" - fake grassroots people - who are being paid by the insurance industry, but as the video below clearly shows these union thugs and community organizing groups are the ones busing people in.

They hand out shirts and signs that are professionally printed, while those opposed are all in general civilian clothes with handmade signs.

It is clear who is the one being paid for and supported by big money.

It is hard to believe they are that out of touch with the reality outside of the left and west coasts.

As one who clearly remembers the national sorrow when President Kennedy was assassinated and the distress it caused to almost every American, I hope and pray that the Secret Service continues to do its job.

I remember the leftist violence of the 1960s so dont try to tell me how peace loving that side of the spectrum is. I also remember the Democratic Parties over reactions in Chicago and on college campuses.

All of this has alienated and roused the citizens and they are not in the least happy. You can see the trends in the polls and it is growing every day.

If you look into the demographics the vast majority of the dissenters are just as unhappy with the repub-a-clowns.

I hope and pray nothing happens to the current president!

I also hope he is voted from office in 2012 or at the least one branch of the legislature turns over to the other clowns in 2010.
