Math educator to present seminar

EFFINGHAM — Claran Einfeldt, president and founder of C Math 2 Inc., will conduct a two-day professional development seminar on June 15-16 in Effingham.

The seminar for educators throughout central and southern Illinois will be held at Effingham High School.

With her practical experience at the local, state and national levels, Einfeldt is widely recognized for her expertise in the area of mathematics curriculum, assessment and instruction.

She is not only a speaker but also a “teacher’s teacher,” communicating the theory behind the issues while providing the practical “how to” strategies leading to positive change in today’s classrooms and schools.

Einfeldt will be accompanied by a number of state and national presenters who will also discuss a wide variety of strategies for use in the classroom.

The seminar is being co-sponsored by the Regional Office of Education 11 in Charleston, which includes the counties of Clark, Coles, Cumberland, Douglas, Edgar, Moultrie and Shelby, and the Regional Office of Education 3 in Effingham, which includes Effingham, Bond and Fayette counties.

Any educator interested in Einfeldt’s two-day seminar can find more detailed information online at www.roe11.k12.il.us or by calling 348-0151.
