MARSHALL — The Evening Thyme Garden Club of Marshall will host its 11th annual Garden Fair on May 16.

The fair will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Clark County Fairgrounds on North Second Street in Marshall. Admission is free.

Vendors will offer a large variety of bulbs, bedding plants, yard ornaments, garden tools, glass rocks, pool and pond accessories, garden hats, and clogs.

Special exhibits and demonstrations will include representatives of Criks’ Bloomin’ Daylilies from Albion, who will show various types of daylilies and explain how to care for them.

BKT Antiques of Paris will demonstrate rope-making and Gals’ Baskets from West Terre Haute will do a basket demonstration.

Terry and Jennie O’Rourke will have their Countryside Gardens booth, and Ron and Mae Brandt will have their Snyder Creek Farms booth. Both Mrs. O’Rourke and Mrs. Brandt are Evening Thyme members.

Larry and Andrea Melton of Dirtworks Landscaping in Charleston will have handmade garden-related items.

Vendors are always welcome and can call 889-2280 for a registration form.

Raffle tickets donated by vendors and members can be obtained from Garden Club members.

The grand prize will be a bench and two hanging baskets. Tickets will be available the day of the fair.

Food will be served by the Armstrong Church Relay for Life. Desserts will be served by Sigma Tau Sorority.

Proceeds from the annual event will be used for the beautification of the city, education projects, and potential high school scholarships.
