DaVita patients recognize team of outstanding caregivers

MATTOON — DaVita Inc., one of the nation’s leading providers of kidney care services, honored teammates at Mattoon DaVita, a DaVita center in Mattoon, who have been recognized by their own patients as Shining Star Caregivers, according to a company press release. The honor was presented to the team of caregivers by their patients.

DaVita’s Shining Star Caregiver program seeks to engage patients in their care by giving them the opportunity to recognize outstanding caregivers at their clinics, as well as a forum for them to share how their caregivers have positively impacted their lives. The honor is generally given to a caregiver in each clinic; however, in this case Mattoon DaVita patients have bestowed the honor on the entire team.

“Receiving an honor such as the Shining Star Caregiver gives each and every one of us a great sense of pride and fulfillment,” said Libby Posten, DaVita administrative assistant. “It is deeply rewarding because it comes directly from our patients.”

The Shining Star program was founded in 2003 and promotes DaVita’s core value of service excellence. Patients commend team members for their outstanding service, high quality of care, and commitment to providing individualized care to their patients.
