LETTER: FBI, CIA should look into Bush administration

Ah, in about 20 days we get rid of a liar, conspirator, polecat, I’m sure everyone has a pet name for Bush.

After lying about the reasons we went into Iraq under false rumors, Bubba’s answer was “so what.” I for one cannot understand his answer, especially when over 4,500 of our young men and women have lost their lives and this guy has the nerve to say “so what.”

Lame duck flies across the world trying to prove he was right to invade Iraq, while the world knows it was criminal. The biggest error this country has ever made, seems to be in his eyes, I’m right, you’re wrong.

Let’s remember his legacy tour and teach it to our children and grandchildren.

Bush’s legacy has no end. Invading a country under manufactured lies. Not only ruining the financial markets but the world’s.

To be fair, Bill Clinton should share this award with Republicans. Trying to bust all unions under his watch.

Giving billions of dollars to the crooks on Wall Street and banks who immediately went on retreats (parties). Instead of using it to help main stream Americans survive.

Bush bailout money went to bonuses of the companies which under ole Hank Paulson rules, goes to the company from which he came from.

After the billions which these companies received, one of them throws a big event for their cronies, another has a special hunting trip, dressed in old English costumes with our bailout money.

When the big three threw their hat into the ring, the first thing brought up were the union workers.

They caused the problem, it’s the blue collar guys who are scamming the tax payers.

Isn’t it un-American to ask American workers to lower their wages to meet foreign wages, but give Germany and Volkswagen millions of dollars to buy land and build factories from taxpayers and the topper is for every worker they hire, we the taxpayers give Germany $200,000 per worker.

The graft in the White House should be put under a special committee set up by the FBI and CIA to look into the books of the last eight years and the future.

Rather than tearing your opinion apart piece by piece, I'll just tackle the first statement and leave the rest of it to others.

Although I've had my disagreements with his administration on many issues, my pet name for him is still Mr President. Considering all America has been through since January 2001 (including a most uncooperative transition from President Clinton), he's done a pretty good job of holding this world together.

If you supported Barack Obama, isn't it about time you did some *changing* of your own? "

This is just 2 of their stunts while in office and it's OK with you just because they're not Democrats? Just take away the term Republican and you all would be mad as a hatter over this stuff. It's time for 3rd and 4th party politicians in office to break this power hold that BOTH Dems and Reps have over Washington and us. Neither party is loyal to us so why should we feel loyal to them? " Okay, first let's straighten out our federal agencies.

FBI investigates infractions involving the criminal code, most of the time involving cases that cross state lines, and certain crimes that fall into the federal realm.

CIA is concerned with the matters concerning the security of the United States and its involvement with other countries. The CIA cannot investigate American citizens except for reasons of possible treason or espionage assuming those reasons involve other countries.

The financial security of the United States falls into the purveyance of the Secret Service. They were originally founded to investigate and prosecute countefeiters who were endangering our economy with fake money. In time that role was expanded to include just about anything having an influence upon the economy. That includes investigation into frauds involving social security monies and retirement funds, and even the protection of highly placed political figures since what happens to these figures has a direct effect on our economy.

On a political level, committees are set up by the House or the Congress to investigate possible infractions from within. They may call to witness anyone that they wish, and quite often these hearings are broadcast on the public airwaves. When the investigation is complete, this committee decides whether or not the investigated individuals will be cleared or turned over to Federal authorities for prosecution.

Of course, not being a legal type, this may not be 100 per cent accurate. but only in the ball park. I really look forward to the legally inclined responding for my own personal education.

And I do have a favorite name for G.W. I refer to him as "Mr. President." "

" After seeing the headline for this letter I couldn't help but chime in. Let me get this straight the CIA is supposed to donate time and manpower to investigate the president. Since when is it the Central Intelligence Agency's job to investigate domestic politicians? Especially when one of their main purposes is to assist the president by providing him with foreign intelligence. Some of that intel they provided was used by the president so he could, as you say, lie to go to war. Some one needs to do a little basic research on what the CIA does before writing a letter saying that they should devote resources to do another agency's job. If it was the CIA's job to investigate our politicians and release their findings to the public 99% of politicians would resign immediately to avoid embarrassment and the other 1% would cling to their position and act like Blago. From what I've read about Jeb Bush and his family, and their criminal activities, they should all be on Americas Most Wanted TV show. The drunken orgies the Bush twins got involved with were nothing compared to the stuff Jeb's kids have done. They make the Bush twins look like girl scouts. But that's a story for another day.

But I'm sure there are those who would salivate at the very thought of another scumbag Bush in the White House.

" Medic, aside from the fact that a precedent was set making governments responsible for such actions, I would like to point out that countries usually do not keep all of their money inside their own borders. Countries tied into North Korea and which posess assets belonging to North Korea would have to play ball or be made to share in the responsibility. Any assets belonging to North Korea that lie in other lands are now fair game. Plus any assistance that North Korea my request now or in the future would have a lien upon it. And if North Korea had assets in the United States that were present before the current situation developed, our government, through the judicial system, could now legally transfer those funds to satisfy the terms of the suit. The surviving crew now own a portion of North Korea. This debt will pass along to their estates. It will remain, having an effect on the relationship of North Korea with the rest of the world, until that government chooses to make amends.

No matter which way you look at it, North Korea lost.

Besides, some things are worth fighting for even if you really do not get much more than satisfaction. And that judge was not stupid. He tried the case brought to his bench. He tried it legally. He tried it well. He did his job.

It isn't for a judge to say that someone cannot have their day in court because the defendents will not be able or will refuse to pay. He made the right decision based upon current laws. And don't think that our government won't use that decision if they need to.

And for those of you still ranting about Obama's birth certificate, let it go. It doesn't matter where in the world the man was born. His mother was a citizen of the United States. He could have been born in the far reaches of Outer Mongolia and still be a citizen.

The offspring of our citizens do not lose their status as citizens just because their parents were away from home at the time. That would make half of the children born to members of the military foreign nationals. Most of them are granted dual status, becoming citizens of both the country their parents are members of, and the country where they were physically born until such a time as they become old enough to decide which country they wish to belong to.

Even if born on foreign soil, which is doubtful, it is obvious now which country Obama chose. "

You are absolutely WRONG. The Presidents mother can be born anywhere in the world, but the president HAS to be a natural born citizen, born in one of the 50 US States or on a US Military Base., but you are right about one thing, leave it alone, if he wasn't a Natural Born Citizen, it would have come out by now, and it hasn't. Several last minute actions took place, to be in force, before offices change hands. Pardons, and preemptive security blankets, are yet to be completed.

Some of these crimes, ultimately aren't worth the time and money, invested to fight them, even if they result in convictions.

Study what failed, and put some teeth in the laws to enforce them severely. Several aspects of prevalent government and corporate corruption, should be tantamount to treason. Long prison terms if not life, and not in the luxury sweets often reserved for prominent inmates. Siezure of assets, and freedom, is the only thing that will quell corruption.

As long as there are no teeth in the law, it is just a toothless poodle, that may nip at their ankles, after costing millions to investigate and prosecute.

Short of scrapping every government job held in the last 8 years, and starting from scratch, this is going to be a game of blind mans bluff, trying to sift through the mess. The next administration, will have to set rules, and determine what works, and what doesn't, all while trying to keep the economy from completely imploding.

If war contractors, can pay most their people at least 100k a year, the gov't could start a military support branch, and raise soldiers pay and come out way ahead, by cutting out middlemen and sharing resources. Why have soldiers do a tour, and go back as mercinaries, for 2 or 3 x the pay. Military operations, need to be completely military personel, and not have our fighting men and women, treated as second class soldiers. "

" Since embassies and military bases are declared by the hosting countries to be U.S. territory, then anyone born on these properties are born on U.S. soil and also living there can still fill the five year requirement.

This legal definition provides the means to include as natural citizens those offspring born to U.S. citizens married to foreign nationals and living in that foreign nationals country of origin when the birth does not occur on officially recognized U.S. soil. These offspring generally are granted dual citizenships in each of these countries until old enough to decide which one he or she will be a citizen of. Some of these offspring retain both citizenships for an extended period of time.

Obama and others like him are legally natural born citizens of the United States of America. "

" On a more amusing note, two married Greek citizens immigrate to the United States with their infant son. In time all three become naturalized U.S. citizens, renouncing their Greek citizenship status in their oath.

Greece is one of the countries that does not recognize the renouncement contained in the oath, and maintains the status of the Greek citizens for the life of the three individuals, making all three in posession of dual citizenship.

If the infant son grows up and returns to Greece after the age of eighteen, he could then be arrested by the Greek government for failure to participate in that country's conscription process.

The possibility exists that they could also be charged with income tax evasion.

In some countries they could be charged with carrying a false passport. In other countries they could carry two passports.

Citizenship, especially involving multi-national parties, is a very complicated issue. There are literally people in the world with five or more claims to citizenships. Or five or more countries claiming them.

Thankfully, Obama's case is an easy one. He could have been born on American soil to naturalized parents who have lived here for twenty years but whose country of origin still considers them to be citizens there.

I haven't yet heard what status has been granted to Obama by his father's home country, but that would be interesting to know. They did throw quite a party. "

Kenya recognizes the dual citizenship of individuals born to Kenyan citizens and foreign nationals and bestows these rights of citizenship in Kenya upon reaching age 21. However, at the age of 23 this citizenship is dropped if the individual chooses instead to reside in the other parent's home country.

Obama was already several years old when his mother was married to an Indonesian national. They resided in the United States for a few more years until Indonesia recalled all of its students studying on foreign soil. Indonesia was the country of Obama's stepfather. This does not give him citizenship rights in this country. He also left Indonesia after only a few years, then moved in with his mother's parents in the United States. He has lived here ever since.

Which means that Obama can only legally claim one right to citizenship: that of a natural born American citizen. "

The Constitution originally provided a small loophole to this provision: One needn't have been born in the United States but had to be a citizen at the time the Constitution was adopted. But, since that occurred in 1789, that ship has sailed.

One must also be at least 35 years of age to be president. John F. Kennedy was the youngest person to be elected president; he was 43 years old when he was inaugurated in 1961. There is no maximum age limit set forth in the Constitution. Ronald Reagan was the oldest president; at the end of his term in 1988, he was nearly 77.

Finally, one must live in the United States for at least 14 years to be president, in addition to being a natural-born citizen. The Constitution is vague on this point. For example, it does not make clear whether those 14 years need to be consecutive or what the precise definition of residency is. So far, however, this requirement has not been challenged.
These are the only explicit criteria in the Constitution. "

Why did this happen?

House Democrats kill resolution to impeach Bush

June 12 2008 Democratic members of the US House of Representatives voted unanimously to kill an impeachment resolution against President Bush introduced by Democratic Congressman Dennis Kucinich of Ohio.

Kucinich himself participated fully in the farce. He introduced the resolution Monday and read out the 35 articles of impeachment for crimes ranging from the lying pretexts given to the American people for the war in Iraq to torture at the US detention camp in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and illegal domestic spying. Then he moved to send the resolution to the House Judiciary Committee, whose chairman John Conyers has long rejected any effort to hold Bush constitutionally accountable. This move will have the effect of burying the bill indefinitely.

Hmmmmmmm?

Can you Moonbat Lib-Loons explain this? "

" Article 2, section 1 of the United States Constitution establishes the offices of the President and Vice President of the United States and how they are selected.

This section requires that a candidate for the Presidency be a "natural born" citizen of the United States with a minimum age of 35 years and having resided within the United States for at least fourteen years.

Because of the vagueness of the definition, Title 8, Section 1401 was added to the civil code to further define what it meant to be "natural born". The list of those who qualify for the term "natural born" include those that I have already described in an earlier posting.

Nowhere within the constitution nor the additional Title 8 can you find it written that both parents must also be citizens of the United States. Five minutes on a search engine will demonstrate this for you. I have my own copies to refer to.

Under the provisions of these documents, the child of an illegal immigrant who was born within the United States can be eligible for the presidency even if he or she lived for some time outside the United States. A naturalized citizen cannot be president.

The original loopholes were written to include those persons who had immigrated to the American colonies less that fourteen years prior to the writing of the constitution but were present and fought for America during the Revolutionary War. Being present at the ratification of the constitution made them automatic naturalized citizens. Since all of these individuals are now dead, this loophole has no more influence.

For a naturalized citizen to attain the office of president, the nation would have to approve and ratify an ammendment to the constitution which would be used to enhance the original document. Ratification is accomplished through separate voting in all of the states rather than through a national process.

Approving and ratifying new constitutional ammendments is extremely difficult to pull off, and is rarely accomplished. To date only twenty seven have been approved and ratified. This includes the 21st ammendment which was written to repeal the 18th ammendment thereby ending the prohibition of alcohol.

The last attempt at adding an ammendment to the constitution was the late but great Equal Rights Ammendment. It failed to be ratified. "

Paul Pelosi, Nancy 's husband, owns $17 million dollars of Star-Kist stock. In January, 2007 when the minimum wage was increased from $5.15 to $7.25, Pelosi had American Samoa exempted from the increase so Del Monte would not have to pay the higher wage. This would make Del Monte products less expensive than their competition's.

Last week when the huge bailout bill was passed, Pelosi added an earmark to the final bill adding $33 million dollars for an 'economic development credit in American Samoa '.

Even though the people
look primarily at the top of the ticket when choosing, the Vice President is part of that ticket and is voted into office just as the President is. This was the result of an adjustment made early on to the rules. Prior to this, the Vice President was the presidential candidate who came in second. Today the President and Vice President are joined at the hip for the election.

Therefore the Vice President was elected into the office to be that replacement.

The only exceptions are those Presidents, eg Gerald Ford, who was appointed to the office of Vice President after the election had been held in order to replace an ousted vice president, and who then slid into the presidential slot when Nixon resigned. Gerald Ford was never elected into the presidential office. He served the final two years of that term, then lost the bid in the next election.

This still makes Teddy Roosevelt the youngest president ever elected into the executive branch of the government. "

That would be John Brennan, his intel advisor during the campaign, whose support for Dubyas interrogation protocols after 9/11 (not including waterboarding) made him sufficiently radioactive to progressives to torpedo his chances at running Central Intelligence. A defeat for The One? Not quite: Instead of risking a confirmation battle with the left by naming Brennan to run CIA, hes evidently planning to move him upstairs to the White House to be his homeland security advisor which doesnt require Senate confirmation. And which, given the fact that the incoming CIA chief is a yes man with no experience, means Brennan will have plenty of influence over counterterrorism policy, especially domestically.

its unclear whether Obama will keep the Homeland Security Council (not to be confused with DHS) intact or roll it into the NSC, but Brennans role in shaping counterterror protocol seems guaranteed to be significant either way. The HSC is a Bush creation and operates very much below the radar, so Obama may decide to liquidate the brand while retaining the product and simply reassigning its personnel to a sister agency.

Well played, Messiah. Very well played.

" I see Sara Palin has got herself back in the limelight. I'm not surprised. This time it's a interview in which she now says it's the main stream medias fault that she and McCain lost.

No Sara, if anyone is to blame for dragging McCain down it's you. Your interviews with Charlie Gibson and Katie Couric in which you showed the world that you were nothing but a ignorant buffoon did you in. You tried to answer their questions like you were still running in a beauty beauty pageant.

The main stream media didn't expose you, you didn't need any help, you did a pretty good job all on your own.

You are now blasting Tina's Fey's portrayal of you, while in reality the one skit, where you rambled on in a disjointed and confused manner trying to answer a simple question, was almost word for word the way you responded to a question in a legitimate interview. I laughed pretty hard when I saw the SNL interview, but was rather shocked when I saw a repeat of the original interview, and realized that you actually said those things. I remember feeling sorry for McCain that he would actually pick someone so lacking as his choice as VP. What a sad way for McCain to be ending a long career of service to his country. Sadly, Palin's pathetic performance is what he will be remembered for.

The cutie pie winks and you betcha's may have played well with the hard core base, especially the uneducated trailer park variety of the GOP (with apologies to those who live in trailer parks), which didn't surprise me, but the rest of the country grew tied of that nonsense rather quickly. You were running for VP of the USA, not high school homecoming queen.

You had no idea of what Bush's policies were, you couldn't answer any questions about one single Supreme Court decisions, your lack of world geography was appalling and you couldn't even name a single piece of your reading material.

But before I forget, our resident expert on politics, NeoCon, says she was a well qualified candidate for such a high office. lol!

Sadly, Sara continues to be a walking punch line. Her pathetic attempts to stay in the limelight by giving interviews, and doing things like contacting People magazine with baby news and to broker top dollars for her grandchild's pictures appear to be rather lame attempt to keep her rapidly fading star alive. From Army-Technology.com

WMD-

Definition:

Weapons of mass destruction are weapons capable of inflicting massive destruction to property and/or population, using chemical, biological or radioactive material. Weapons of Mass Destruction are also known by the abbreviation WMD.

And then there's this:

"Saddam Hussein's regime represents a grave threat to America and our allies, including our vital ally, Israel. For more than two decades, Saddam Hussein has sought WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION through every available means. We know that he has chemical and biological weapons. He has already used them against his neighbors and his own people, and is trying to build more. We know that he is doing everything he can to build nuclear weapons, and we know that each day he gets closer to achieving that goal." - DEMOCRAT John Edwards, Oct 10, 2002

"As a member of the House Intelligence Committee, I am keenly aware that the proliferation of chemical and biological weapons is an issue of grave importance to all nations. Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process." - DEMOCRAT Nancy Pelosi, December 16, 1998 "

That confirmation came in an affidavit filed today by Roberts' court counselor in a pending lawsuit by an atheist opposed to any mention of God in the inaugural ceremonies. Roberts said he would abide by Obamas wishes.

The Constitution has specific language on what has to be said when swearing in the president, but the so help me God phrase has traditionally been added at the end of the required oath, starting with George Washington in 1789.

One of the many great things about this country is the First Amendment. You have the right, and not the privilege, to behave like a raving loon. You can slander public figures. You can also make unintelligent statements about the jurisdiction of the FBI and CIA. You can give an opinion with no basis. Mission accomplished!

The next time you sit down for your one person pity party and put crayon to paper please consider the following -- how would your buddy Saddam respond to criticism?

You may also want to consider whether government is the answer to any problem. Is giving money to the unwashed masses any better than giving money to dysfunctional businesses? Is government cheese more filling than government pork? Should the $10 hour employees be expected to bail out the $30 hour employees in the automobile industry? Is failure such a bad thing?

Perhaps failure is a learning experience. If a business cannot turn a profit, is it really a business? Does a person have a right to a home he or she cannot afford? Who really needs a new car?

It is easy to blame George The Inarticulate (aka George II, W., and far worse). It is also easy to blame Wall Street. But I got news for you -- if someone is selling that means someone is buying. Further, the annointment of Barry the Kenyan on the 20th will not change anything. The real blame rests with the end consumer.

The lesson from this economic downturn is live within your means. This mess was caused by consumers purchasing on credit homes, cars, atvs, motorcycles, boats, rvs, time shares, and other items they could not afford. Credit became an extension of income. There is no guarantee of overtime. (ask anyone at Donnelleys) There is no guarantee of a job. Or when in St. Charles, MO on November 2, 2000, "They want the federal government controlling Social Security like it's some kind of federal program". That's why FOX NEWS is number #1 in newscasting. I can't wait for the GLEN BECK show to air. That will give you something else to gripe about. All of you loonies tune in now and you will really see some excellent reporting!!!!

A couple of points to make before you get all carried away with your blubbering about Fox, cedric. Fox news is number one in cable news, not all news. Big difference. You might want to check that out, bubba.

Something else to consider is that that they are the only conservative news cable channel, so it only stands to reason that they would be number in viewership when there are several less radical cable stations competing for a share of the market.

And as far as Glen Beck is concerned, good riddance. Let that whining gasbag go over to Fox where he can join in with the rest of his propagandist ilk.

And yeah cedric, I will readily admit to watching Faux...I mean Fox news daily, it's quite entertaining and comical.

My favorite news comedians on Fox are Billo the clown and the nasally cry baby Hannity. Those two are a hoot to watch.

I've really enjoyed watching them make apologies and excuses for Bush and the GOP for the last 7 years. In honor of Bush's war Fox news even calls one of their investment shows "The Cost of Freedom". That's hilarious. I have a feeling all that flag waving and water carrying will end in about 9 days or so. "
