First Mid selects new financial adviser



MATTOON — First Mid-Illinois Bank & Trust has announced the addition of Greg Oakley to its Trust and Wealth Management Division, according to a company press release.

Oakley has more than 30 years of experience in the securities industry, having most recently worked for Citigroup Global Markets, Inc. on the trading floor of the Chicago Board Options Exchange.

Oakley was born in Mattoon and graduated from Cumberland High School. His educational background includes Business Administration, Accounting & Marketing at Eastern Illinois University and Accountancy Professional Development at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn. He holds FINRA Registration licenses for Series 4, 7, 8 and 63.

Oakley is a past member of the Minneapolis Grain Exchange, Chicago Board of Trade, Chicago Board Options Exchange, and Securities Traders Association of Chicago.

In his new position, Oakley will focus on investment services through First Mid’s partnership with the nation’s largest independent brokerage firm, Raymond James Financial Services, member FINRA/SIPC. His office is located in the new Consolidated Communications & Raymond James Financial Services building at 1321 Charleston Ave. in Mattoon.

Oakley and his wife, Kathy (Neece) have three grown daughters: Sara Nagy, Erin Tawlks, and Tessa Oakley. He and his wife are relocating to Mattoon from Winfield.
