Longaberger basket products featured in binga to benefit Lincolnland Hospice

MATTOON — The Lincolnland Hospice Festival of Trees week at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center will kick off Monday with a Longaberger binga day.

New to the Festival of Trees fundraiser, Longaberger binga offers participates a chance to win more than $2,000 in Longaberger products. It will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the SBL Lumpkin Center for Health Education.

Binga works just like regular bingo, with Longaberger baskets, pottery and wrought-iron products given to the winners of each game.

For $10 participants can secure one of 160 seats available at the event. Tickets will be pre-sold and are available in the SBL Foundation. A $10 ticket will secure a seat and entitle binga players to 10 games.

Funds raised during the binga event will provide additional support to Lincolnland Hospice in providing uncompensated care to those in need, fulfilling end-of-life requests through its Grant-A-Wish program, and providing bereavement services to all community members.

In addition, purchases of additional tickets at the event, including three games of early-bird binga, two intermission games and the five “Big Five” games can be made.

The “Big Five” games will be played for basket sets each worth at least $100, with a final blackout game for a $320 sort-and-store hamper set.

Raffle tickets will be sold for a Longaberger Charging Station Bundle worth $195.

Door prize tickets will be available as well. For more information or to buy a ticket, call the SBL Foundation at 258-2511.
