After red card, EIU losses to Ohio State in soccer

COLUMBUS, Ohio - After a scoreless first half, a red card in the 50th minute gave 21st-ranked Ohio State a man advantage and the Buckeyes scored three times during 11-on-10 action to defeat Eastern Illinois men’s soccer 3-0 Sunday afternoon.

Mike Picinich was sent off for colliding with Ohio State goalkeeper Drew Czekanski in the air as both players rose up to make a play on a right-to-left service.

Ohio State (7-2-1) scored in the 59th, 69th and 83rd minutes.
