Friends of Mattoon Library to have fundraiser book sale



MATTOON — The Friends of the Mattoon Public Library will have its 15th annual sale on Friday and Saturday in the Community Room of the Mattoon library, 1600 Charleston Ave..

The hours of the book sale are from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday and 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

The sale features books, CDs, tapes and artwork, a new addition this year. CDs and DVDs will be priced at $1 and all other audio materials will be 50 cents.

Donated books are being accepted during the library’s regular business hours. Used CDs, audio and video tapes, and vintage books also will be welcomed, but no magazines, textbooks or RD condensed books.

Members of Friends also may attend the “Friends Only Preview Sale” from 5 to 7 p.m. today. Dues will be accepted that day for any non-members who would like to attend.
