Fall programs to begin at Charleston library



CHARLESTON — Fall programs for children are beginning at the Charleston Carnegie Public Library.

The Mother-Daughter Book Club will have its first meeting of the school year from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Girls age 9-13 may attend with a mother, aunt, grandmother or other female adult.

This first meeting will be an organizational meeting to discuss plans for the school year. If you are interested but cannot attend the first meeting, call the KidSpace at 345-1514.

Storyhours for preschoolers and toddlers will begin at the library on Oct. 2-3. Parents and caregivers may register their children beginning Monday, either in person or over the phone.

Preschool storyhour is for children ages 3 to 5 and is held on Thursdays, from 10:30 to 11 a.m., 1:30 to 2 p.m., or 6 to 6:30 p.m.

Toddler storyhour is for children age 24 to 36 months with one parent or caregiver per child and is held on Fridays from 10:30 to 11 a.m. The storyhours will consist of stories, movies, crafts, games and songs.
