(Gage Thompson went 3-for-4, stole two bases, scored four runs and drove in two leading Newburgh to the five-inning mercy-rule win.)

(Cory Bowling had a double and two singles in Post 5's win at Eastern Illinois' Coaches Stadium._

(Jason Johnson and Gage Thompson combined to pitch a three-hitter and Dylan Peters hit a solo homer as Newburgh Post 44 finished 3-1 in its Pool C.)

Decatur 11, Evansville (Ind.) Funkhouser 2 

Mount Vernon, Ind., 5, Mount Zion 0

Southeastern Illinois Community College bound Cory  Bowling hit two home runs while Andy Huber pitched a two-hitter for Mount Vernon (Ind.) Post 5, which completed Pool B with a 3-1 record and likel to return for Monday's semifinals. Sunday's games are to determine the final four. 

4:15 p.m. – Funkhouser, Ind., vs. Robinson at Lake Land

Decatur 6, Mattoon 4

Daniel Peters' two-out, two-run broke a 4-4 tie putting Decatur ahead in the top of the seventh and then Mattoon left bases loaded in the bottom of the final inning.

11 a.m. - Robinson vs. Decatur at Lake Land, completion of suspended game

11:30 a.m. – Teutopolis vs. Effingham

11:30 a.m. – Toledo vs. Rantoul at Eastern Illinois’ Coaches Stadium

1:45 p.m. – Effingham vs. Mount Zion

2 p.m. – Rantoul vs. Moultrie-Douglas at Eastern Illinois’ Coaches Stadium

4 p.m. – Stew-Stras vs. Teutopolis, 4 p.m.

6:15 p.m. – Peoria vs. Mattoon

Noon – Pool winner to be determined vs. Pool winner

(Chris Stemple was 3-for-3 including a double plus a sacrifice fly for three RBIs and Jaro Burke totaled five RBIs with a three-run homer, double and bases-loaded walk for Mont Vernon, Ind., Post 5 in the 4 1/2-inning mercy rule game.)

Rantoul 4, Newburgh, Ind., 1

(Jacob Herbert led off the bottom of the first with a home run and closed things with two shutout innings in relief of winning pitcher Joe Wood.)

Evansville (Ind.) Funkhouser 6, Peoria 2

(Mark Roberts allowed only four hits for Funkhouser while Evan Whipkey went 2-for-3 at the plate.)

Stewardson-Strasburg 3, Mount Vernon, Ind., 2

(Jaden Widdersheim's ground ball turned into an error that brought home the tying and winning runs in the bottom of the seventh inning. Luke Rincker pitched the complete-game win.)

Peoria 13, Robinson 0 (5 innings)

(Peoria bounced back from an earlier loss by lacing seven extra-base hits. Jake Alexander and Kevin Eggleston combined for the shutout.)

Newburgh (Ind.) 7, Toledo 3

(Tyler Boink pitched a 4-hitter for Newburgh. Tyler Szatkowski doubled and singled for Toledo.)

Mount Vernon, Ill., forfeits to Rantoul
