-3 p.m., Casey Fairview Saddle Club horse show

- 7-9 p.m., Blue Suede Crew tribute to Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash 

- Dusk, fireworks

CHARLESTON

at Morton Park for

Red, White & Blue Days 

- 7:30 a.m., “Four on the Fourth” run and walk, registration at 6:30 a.m. 

- 9 a.m., inflatable games and fire safety area with foam pit open

- 1 p.m., Fourth of July parade from courthouse square to Morton Park 

- 2:15 p.m., bell ringing ceremony at Liberty Bell replica

MARSHALL

at the Clark County

Fairgrounds 

- 8 p.m., Marshall Municipal Band concert, Clark County Fairgrounds in Marshall 

- 9 p.m., fireworks display

MATTOON 

- 9 a.m., Fourth of July parade, starting at 21st Street and Western Avenue, moving east through the city along Western and Broadway avenues

COLES COUNTY 

- 11 a.m., Air Show 2008, Coles County Memorial Airport 

- Dusk, fireworks at the Coles County Memorial Airport, shuttle rides from EIU’s O’Brien Field and Mattoon’s Cross County Mall

SHELBYVILLE

at Forest Park for

Shelbyville Pow Wow Days 

- 10 a.m., bird hike, Forest Park, meet at the General Dacey Trail Head

-11 a.m., Dairy Queen will serve rib-eye sandwiches, hamburgers, hot dogs, BBQ, ice cream and drinks 

- 3-4 p.m. Kris Power Tumbling and Dance 

- 4-5 p.m., Christ Tabernacle Church of Herrick Praise and Company Choir 

- 5-6 p.m., Shelbyville Winds performing Sousa marches and patriotic music 

- 6-9 p.m., Wes Wheeler and the Battle Creek Band 

- 9 p.m., fireworks.

Other activities include Cruise-in Car Show, duck race, kayak demonstrations, inflatable slide, bounce house, gladiator joust, and various children’s games.

SULLIVAN

at Wyman Park 

- All-day Fourth of July Celebration, carnival, turtle races, watermelon eating contest, sack races
