Effingham-area business leaders complete program

EFFINGHAM — Nine people from Effingham County businesses have recently completed the Investment in Excellence program sponsored by Effingham County Vision 2020.

This brings the total to 134 people who have completed the training program.

In addition, two local businesses have been presenting the program to their employees directly. Mid States Bank has graduated 23 leaders from IIE and has plans to take all of their remaining employees through it over the next two months.

“We consider the Pacific Institute’s Investment in Excellence training program to be the most powerful investment we could make in our employees, personally and professionally,” said Leon Holschbach.

Rick Siemer of Siemer Milling Co. stated, “Investment in Excellence teaches excellent techniques to improve our effectiveness. It is making us more successful as individuals and as an organization, and it supports our culture of Respect-Trust-Responsibility.”

Siemer Milling has had 74 employees complete the IIE Program.

“Investment in Excellence® contains information on how personal beliefs and attitudes affect an organization’s culture. Lou Tice, founder of The Pacific Institute and developer of this core curriculum, teaches to the “whole person,” presenting how these concepts affect not only the individual, but the family, workplace, community, nation and the world. The curriculum is eligible for continuing education credits.

The next available IIE training is June 11, 12, 25 and 26 at the Effingham Country Club. For more information or to register, contact srobb@siemermilling.com or the Chamber Office.
