Car show planned Sunday

MATTOON -- Real Life Community Church will hold its fourth annual Classic Car and Truck Show on Sunday.

Classic and antique cars from around the region will be on display for the public to view.

The show will start at noon and trophies will be awarded at 3 p.m.

Trophies will be awarded in several categories, such as Street Rods, Street Machines, Collectors and Antiques. Also, a Rat Rod class has been added this year.

Plaques will be awarded to the cars with the “best paint,” “best engine detail,” and the car that came the “farthest distance” to be in the show.

Also a “People’s Choice” trophy and a “Pastor’s Choice” trophy will be awarded.

Concessions will be sold during the show to offset the cost of the show.

The public is invited to participate in this event. The church is located at 2220 Champaign Ave. in Mattoon.
