Heart Walk Sunday at Cross County Mall



MATTOON — Area residents can help researchers fight cardiovascular disease by participating in the Coles County Heart Walk on Sunday at the Cross County Mall.

Registration for the walk begins at noon at the main entrance of the mall with the walk beginning at 1:30 p.m. Robert Reece of WCIA-TV is the master of ceremonies. Bonedell Willoughby will sing the National Anthem. Heart event survivors will be honored.

Walkers and the general public can also visit the health fair from noon to 1:30 p.m. and gather information on cardiovascular health, along with free blood pressure screens. Walkers and teams may still register at the event on Sunday.
