Charleston salon adds new services, staff

CHARLESTON — You Look Marvelous salon recently gained a variety of tanning and skin care services with the addition of two new staff members.
The two new staff members are stylist Jeanette Gough, who offers You Look Marvelous Tanning within the salon, and esthetician Carmen Pygott, who offers facials and other skin care services. The full-service salon, owned by Lana Keigley, is located at 669 Castle Drive within the Northwest Business Park along Illinois Route 316.
Gough said bringing her tanning services to the You Look Marvelous salon was a good business opportunity for her. The salon now features Gough’s two laydown tanning beds and one stand-up tanning bed. She offers a variety of tanning lotions and other products as well as package deals for tanning services.
You Look Marvelous Tanning is regularly open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday every week
“During the seasonal times the hours are extended and we are open on Sundays,” Gough said.
Tanning services are particularly in demand just prior to spring break at Charleston High School and Eastern Illinois University, she said.
Pygott’s skin care service includes facials, back treatments, dry brush body treatments, chemical peels, and face and body waxing.
