'Honky Tonk Angels' to appear live in Sullivan



SULLIVAN — The greatest hits of Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette and all of the queens of country music will come together for “The Honky Tonk Angels.”

The show opens Oct. 18 and runs until Oct. 28 at The Little Theatre on the Square.

“The Honky Tonk Angels” tells the journey of three women from three very different backgrounds who meet by chance on the bus to Nashville and fulfill their dreams by forming a honky tonk singing group.

The show includes country songs “Stand By Your Man,” “Coal Miner’s Daughter,” “9 to 5,” “I Will Always Love You” and “Harper Valley PTA.”

The cast for “The Honky Tonk Angels” is made up of three actresses making their debut at The Little Theatre. All are members of Actors’ Equity. Carol Kuykendall plays the part of Sue Ellen, Annalyse McCoy plays Darlene and Liz Pazik play Angela.

The show is directed by Shawn Pryby and choreographed by Carol Kuykendall. Daniel Cather serves as musical director, with Little Theatre veterans Alex M. Gaines as scenic designer and John White as costume designer. Hans Fredrickson serves as lighting designer and David Scobbie is sound designer. Mary Bailey is the production stage manager.

Tickets are currently on sale and can be purchased by calling The Little Theatre box office at 728-7375 or toll-free at (888) 261-9675. Adult tickets are $27 and senior/child tickets are $25.
