Chiropractor, massage therapist join services at new office in Charleston

CHARLESTON — Chiropractor Brandon Combs and licensed massage therapist Sue Hilderbrandt have combined their services at an office at the new Park Hills Luxury Senior Living clubhouse.

They have started taking appointments for their businesses, Combs Chiropractic & Wellness Center and Park Hills Spa. Their office is on the first floor of the two-story clubhouse at 1280 W. Polk Ave. Their services are available to anyone, not just those who will live in Park Hills’ condominiums once they open.

“This is specially set up for both of us to work together,” Hilderbrandt said. “Everything is in place. All we have to do is come in and start working.”

Hilderbrandt and Combs, both Charleston residents, plan to refer clients to each other as needed. They also plan to use the clubhouse’s planned indoor pool and sauna for their services.

“There will be so much for us to offer people when they come in here in terms of wellness,” Combs said.

Combs said he decided at age 5 that he wanted to become a chiropractor after seeing his mother get relief from these services after being injured in a car accident. He obtained his doctor of chiropractic degree in December from Logan College of Chiropractic in Chesterfield, Mo.

The chiropractor said he always wanted to return to Charleston to start his practice. He practices several different techniques, including low force techniques that minimize the popping and twisting often associated with chiropractic visits.

Hilderbrandt’s services include Swedish, deep tissue and prenatal massages. She plans to offer spa package deals with body scrubs, facials and massages. Hilderbrandt said she is excited about offering spa services within easy driving distance for local residents.

Combs Chiropractic & Wellness Center will be open 7 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday to Friday and 6-9 a.m. Saturday each week. Park Hills Spa will be open 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday to Friday and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday each week. For more information, call the office at 345-1010.
