Letter: All information sources are not reliable

Certainly the information provided by Susan Humphreys in her letter published in the Times Courier on Aug. 19, 2006 is unreliable. She has not put enough effort into her research or more likely she is like the entire evolutionist set in that they deny all evidence except what supports their preconceived viewpoint.

The Bible is the most reliable source of truth. It has never been proven wrong. It is absurd to make the statement, “none of the main events of the Bible were written about by someone who actually witnessed the event” and then to say, “from Genesis to Jesus.”

Come on now let’s consider that statement. Jesus spoke of the creation He witnessed and John was there to witness what He said and then John himself wrote it down in John 17:24. Peter said, “We did not follow cleverly invented stories when we told you about the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty” (2 Peter 1:16).

So we would either have to say that Jesus Peter and John witnessed the events or that they were all liars. Which do you want to say?

Yes Genesis and the flood are mind-boggling, but what is more mind boggling is that the Bible written by 40 different people over more than 1,500 years all fits together. If you want mind-boggling, how about the theory of an evolutionary transition from nothing to a single cell and then from that single cell to a complex living being. Has anyone ever seen something come from nothing?

Watching PBS television and network news shows is hardly a comprehensive plan of research because they are both predisposed for evolution and both suppress the truth. A natural person cannot understand the truth and it is foolishness to him (1 Cor. 2:14)
